Locals can expect to see their mailboxes begin to fill up a little more as Canada Post has shifted its ongoing strike to a rotating stoppage.
“I think the rotating strike is welcomed over complete stoppage of delivery, but it’s not going to be service as usual,” said Jason Naccarato, Sault Ste. Marie chamber of commerce chair to the Sault Star.
“We urge the Canadian government to step in and help this process along to a speedy resolution.”
Starting this week, mail and parcel delivery is set to resume on a limited basis, which was announced by the union late Thursday night, after a meeting with Joel Lightbound, federal minister responsible for Canada Post.
