The City of Paducah and the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources are partners in the Fishing in Neighborhoods (FINs) program.

On Wednesday the KDFWR will deliver 1500 rainbow trout to Lake Montgomery in Bob Noble Park.

Also, this month, the KDFWR will survey the lake's catfish population by taking length and weight measurements. To accomplish this task, baited hoop nets will be set on October 21 with collection on October 24. The public will see boats in the lake as KDFWR staff check the condition and size of the lake’s catfish.

The goal of the FINs program is to provide high quality fishing opportunities near cities of all sizes throughout Kentucky. Since rainbow trout prefer cold water, the KDFWR stocks them at Lake Montgomery during the cooler months of February, March, a
