Pakistan held India to a thrilling 3-3 draw in their third group-stage match of the Sultan of Johor Cup 2025 at the Taman Daya Hockey Stadium on Tuesday, in a contest that showcased the best of Asian hockey and mutual respect between the arch-rivals.

Pakistan captain Hannan Shahid opened the scoring in the fifth minute, calmly converting a penalty stroke to give his side an early lead. The Green Shirts continued to dominate the opening quarter with quick passing and sharp counterattacks, earning another penalty corner in the 10th minute but failing to capitalise.
