CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Like many airports across the nation, Charlotte Douglas International Airport says it will not be airing Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's video message, blaming Democrats for the federal government shutdown.

“However, Democrats in Congress refuse to fund the federal government, and because of this, many of our operations are impacted, and most of our TSA employees are working without pay,” Noem says.

The airport says the video goes against their airport policy, prohibiting political messages on city equipment. Airports in cities like Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Seattle also say they have policies against using their facilities for political purposes.
