KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City man pleads guilty after a detective witnessed a shooting in early July.

Clifford E. Porter pleaded guilty to felon in possession of a firearm and a drug charge during a hearing in September.

An affidavit showed that a Kansas City Police Department detective saw a man riding a bicycle along Sprice Ave this afternoon. The man had been arguing with a group of around 5 other individuals, including Porter.

After the argument, the investigator said the victim rode away on his bike as Porter ran after him, removed a gun from his waistband and fired a single shot. Uniformed officers were immediately notified and contacted Porter within seconds of the shooting.
