When Irondequoit finished off the team's 20-14 victory over Brockport in Week 6 of Section V football, coach Dan Fichter told the Eagles their run for a No. 1 seed in sectionals was going well.

Fichter is telling the truth. The Eagles are 6-0 with one regular season game remaining in Section V Class A1. For the second consecutive week, Irondequoit is No. 1 in the Democrat and Chronicle top 10 large schools ranking.
