SOLDIER, Iowa (KCAU) — If you get water through Soldier's water supply, officials are recommending you boil your water before using it.

A post on the City of Soldier's Community Page claims, on Tuesday, the water distribution system lost pressure and will need to be boiled for potential bacterial contamination.

If you want to use your water to drink, make ice, brush your teeth, or prepare food, you need to boil the water first. They say, however, that the water can be used for bathing.

The issue has been repaired, but to be safe, boiling is still advised. Once results from the water system show safe levels, the advisory will be lifted.

The Water Superintendent, Garett Savery, can be reached by calling 712-884-2266 for any further inquiries.
