A Harford County judge has sentenced 17-year-old Jaylen Prince to life in prison with all but 75 years suspended for the deadly shooting at Joppatowne High School.
Prince was convicted earlier this year of first-degree murder for the September 2024 killing of 15-year-old Warren Grant, who was shot inside a school bathroom during a fight.
The judge also sentenced Prince to 20 years on a weapons charge, with all but five years suspended, to be served consecutively with the first sentence.
During trial, prosecutors argued Prince brought a 9 mm ghost gun to school intending to use it, while the defense claimed he acted out of fear after being cornered by several classmates.
