A General Assembly special committee's investigation into the fallout over last year's statewide property reassessment is on pause until early November.

Due to a legal case in Chancery Court, the panel will not go ahead with its third hearing on October 21st. The committee is scheduled to convene again in Dover November 4th.

The reassessment conducted by Tyler Technologies last year was the first in decades, but rising tax bills were the result for many Delawareans. The panel has already heard from representatives of all three counties, the City of Wilmington, professionals in the assessment field, and Tyler Technologies.
