Syracuse, N.Y. ― A vice principal for a Syracuse school was arrested Friday after he was caught drinking with a 15-year-old girl in the parking lot of Corcoran High School, police said.

Jaime Perez-Garcia, 54, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, according to a Syracuse police news release issued on Tuesday.

Around 6:53 p.m. Friday, police responded to a tip that an adult was drinking with an underage female student in the parking lot.

Perez-Garcia, the vice principal at H.W. Smith Elementary School, was found in a pick-up truck with the girl, police said.

Officers found a bottle of alcohol and two shot glasses in the car, they said.

The same night there was a football game between Corcoran and East Syracuse Minoa at Corcoran High School.
