Australian men has chalked up a trio of singles victories at the ATP 250 hardcourt event in Almaty.

Aleksandar Vukic beat Germany's Marko Topo 6-4 3-6 6-1 on Tuesday and was followed on to Centre Court in Kazakhstan by another Aussie in Rinky Hijikata.

Hijikata had been beaten by France's Ugo Blanchet in qualifying but was drafted into the main draw as a lucky loser after Nicolas Jarry withdrew.

Although he failed to serve out the first set and squandered a 3-0 lead in the third, Hijikata beat Kazakh player Timofey Skatov 7-6 (7-3) 2-6 6-3 and will face Wimbledon quarter-finalist Flavio Cobolli next.
