GRAND LEDGE, Mich. (WILX) - Grand Ledge High School announced Tuesday that Jason Smith will serve as the Comets’ next head baseball coach.

Smith served as an assistant coach last season and was the interim head coach when the Comets won the Diamond Classic earlier this year.

“I am thrilled to welcome Jason Smith to his new role in the program as our head baseball coach,” said athletic director Steve Baker. “Coach Smith is a man of principle and character. His leadership, coaching, and involvement in this community’s baseball programs over the years have directly benefited the high school program that he now coaches.
