DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Two people were arrested Tuesday following a reported stabbing at a Dorchester County apartment complex, the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to Cedar Key Apartments at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. When they arrived, they found a stabbing victim.

The victim was treated at the scene and then taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment, the sheriff's office explained.

When law enforcement searched the area, they found Bryan Michael Howell, 32, of Summerville hiding under a laundry pile inside one of the apartment units.

Howell was deemed a suspect and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
