A woman is facing charges after police say one officer was kicked and another hit on the head with his own microphone at a Guelph bar.

According to police, officers were called to the bar at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday after a woman was being “belligerent and aggressive” toward staff.

When the officers suggested the woman be assessed by paramedics due to her level of intoxication, the woman, police said, repeatedly pushed one of the officers.

As the officer tried to get control of her, police said she pulled his hand-held microphone from his vest and hit him with it, causing a cut above his eye.

The woman was arrested, and while being handcuffed kicked another office in the leg, police said.
