Drivers from Waterloo and Guelph likely weren’t giving thanks to Wellington County OPP after being among eight nabbed for stunt driving on the holiday weekend.
Ontario Provincial Police said a 23-year-old Waterloo resident was stopped Saturday at about 5:45 p.m. after being clocked at more than 60 kilometres per hour over the posted speed limit. They were charged with stunt driving and speeding 50 km/h-plus over the limit.
The next morning, at about 3:30 a.m., a 46-year-old from Guelph was clocked driving more than 50 km/h over the speed limit, and was charged with stunt driving and speeding in a community zone.
Both drivers automatically face a 30-day licence suspension and 14-day vehicle impound.
