The Trump administration’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has poured more than $6.5 million into recruiting ads, including premium spots during college football games, to ramp up its forces amid mounting criticism of its enforcement tactics.

The Associated Press’ Oct. 6 report stated that ICE had been running the ads in several metropolitan areas, including New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston, and Seattle in mid-September. The agency has since added Houston, Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, and other metropolitan areas to their advertising list in October.
