WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - Firefighters with the Waterbury Fire Department successfully rescued four puppies from a house fire.
The fire broke out at around 2:45 p.m. in a two and a half story wood frame home on Hill Street.
Fire officials say one man escaped the home and was transported to Waterbury Hospital.
While firefighters worked to bring the fire under control, a dog and her four puppies were rescued.
Officials say the home is uninhabitable. Two residents have been displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
