CHAPEL HILL — UNC basketball coach Hubert Davis has an accountability chart for Jarin Stevenson .

A 6-foot-10 forward for the Tar Heels , Stevenson is a Chapel Hill native who played his first two seasons at Alabama before arriving at UNC via the transfer portal.

With the ability to affect the game in a variety of ways, Stevenson checks a lot of boxes for Davis and a roster that includes 11 newcomers around senior guard Seth Trimble. Every day in practice, the fifth-year coach makes it a point to remind Stevenson that each box needs to be checked.

“He holds players accountable,” Stevenson said on Oct. 14 inside the Smith Center media room during his first press conference as a Tar Heel.
