YOUNGSTOWN - Youngstown police reports reveal a disturbing series of events leading up to the disappearance and death of George Westhead of Youngstown.

Just after midnight on October 7, family and friends believe Westhead vanished after spending the night with two people identified in police reports only as “Arian” and “Guido," according to reports.

A friend told investigators Westhead borrowed his niece’s SUV and gave the pair a ride to the South Side.

According to the report, “he has not been heard from since.”

Hours later, police were called to Belleview Avenue and East Marion Avenue, where they found the SUV engulfed in flames in a grass field, but no one was inside.

Officers traced the vehicle to Westhead’s sister, who said she hadn’t seen him.
