President Donald Trump was out playing golf last weekend. Congress also took off for the long weekend. Meanwhile, federal employees are being fired or furloughed, and members of the military are not getting paid for their time - the list goes on.

As a suggestion, why not cancel paychecks for Trump, his Cabinet minions and members of Congress. The government would open so fast, it would make your head spin.

The political parties blame each other and find it difficult to play in the same sandbox. They should come together, compromise on the issues and not think it is their way only. Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to call a meeting. I guess his puppet strings are not working. Fellow Americans: Make sure you think twice the next time elections come around.
