HELENA — As we inch toward the Montana high school playoffs with just two weeks left in the regular season, there were some consequential matchups in Week 7 in every classification .

That caused some movement in the 406 MT Sports rankings, although most of it happened near the bottom in each class. Billings West made a move in Class AA after a win over Bozeman Gallatin gave the Golden Bears the leg up in the Eastern AA.

However, the most impressive win of the weekend belonged to Florence-Carlton. The Falcons improved to 3-3 on the season following a 34-6 trouncing of Eureka, which was undefeated against Class B foes before that.
