VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV) - A man who was wanted on multiple felony warrants in several states was arrested by Vancouver Police on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say officers responded to a report of a wanted person near NE 88th St and 55th Ave just before 12:30 p.m.

Officers spotted a passenger inside a car near the area who they say had multiple active felony warrants.

Police used a Grappler device on the car to prevent the car from getting away and potentially endangering the public. The suspect then got out of the car and ran away.

A K-9 team and patrol officers arrested the suspect after finding him in a nearby wooded area.

While searching the vehicle and the suspect, officers say they found a gun and controlled substances.
