Second-seeded Madison, No. 6 in the NJ.com Top 20, defeated seventh-seeded Mount Olive 4-3 in in penalties in the Quarterfinal round of the Morris County Tournament in Madison.
Following no goals scored after two overtime periods, Madison edged Mount Olive in a shootout foe the victory.
Both teams scored in the second half, knotting the score at 1-1. Gui Dos Santos was credited with the goal for Madison, while Callum Regan recorded eight saves.
The match was evenly contested with shots on goal tied at eight.
Madison (11-0-3) will visit Hanover Park next Tuesday at 4:00 pm, while Mount Olive (10-6-1) will travel to Morristown on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
