LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — A motorcyclist died from their injuries Tuesday afternoon after crashing into a delivery van in northern Lenawee County.

The motorcyclist, a 71-year-old man from Tecumseh, was going south on Tecumseh-Clinton Highway shortly before 1:30 p.m., about 3 miles south of the village of Clinton, when he hit the van as it was crossing Pennington Road, according to the Lenawee County Sheriff's Office.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. The sheriff's office says it is unknown if he was wearing a helmet.

The van driver, a 26-year-old from Oregon, Ohio, was not injured in the crash.

The sheriff's office said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, and that it is under investigation.
