Longtime town clerk Jacqueline “Jackie” Earley resigned effective October 31, finishing out 39 years in town service, two years and two months short of her elected term.
Earley announced her retirement to the town board on October 14 via Zoom because she is visiting her brother in Tennessee, who is recovering from surgery.
“It has been such a great honor to serve this community, and I am deeply grateful for the trust and the support extended to me over the last 22 years,” Earley said.
“I am proud of what we have accomplished together and confident that the town is in a strong position moving forward,” she added.
“I look forward to a smooth transition and will ensure all necessary assistance is provided in the coming weeks. And this is with sincere appreciation.”
