Residents of North Wollongong are angry they won't be able to use their cars this week as road closures for the World Triathlon Championship Finals make access "impossible".

Cliff Rd and part of Corrimal St feature prominently in the triathlon's cycle leg route and some residents can't get their cars in or out after 5.30am (or earlier some days) until the road reopens at night.

This will be at 7.30pm on Thursday, 6.30pm on Friday, 9pm on Saturday and 8pm on Sunday.
