CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland Clinic’s Mercy Hospital was locked down after a threat on Tuesday night, according to the hospital.

Cleveland Clinic released the following statement to 19 News about the incident.

“At 6:48 p.m. today, we were made aware of a threat at Mercy Hospital. Canton Police were notified immediately and worked in close collaboration with our Cleveland Clinic Police Department and hospital personnel to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors, and employees. The hospital remained open for patient care, and the threat was cleared by Cleveland Clinic and Canton Police.”
