SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – McDaniel Park in Springfield is slated for significant upgrades following a $1 million donation from the Hatch Foundation to the Springfield-Greene County Park Board.

The substantial gift will finance the construction of a new pavilion complete with restrooms. Additionally, the funds will provide lighting for a new bicycle pump track currently under construction at the park.

Further enhancements are planned, with nearly $1 million from the city of Springfield and the organization Trail Spring designated for a new vehicle entrance and parking lot.

Jenny Filmer Edwards of the Springfield-Greene County Parks Department emphasized the transformative nature of these projects.
