Springfield neighborhood celebrates completion of street widening project

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - After a year of construction and traffic disruptions, the Galloway Street Widening project in Springfield is now complete.

The multi-million dollar undertaking expanded Galloway Street to three lanes between Luster and Lone Pine Avenue. The project also included the installation of a roundabout at each of those intersections and various improvements designed to enhance pedestrian safety.

To mark the completion and express gratitude for the community’s patience during the construction, the City of Springfield hosted a celebratory block party.
