HOOVEN, Ohio —

A person is dead after police say they were hit by a car along U.S. Route 50 near Cleves.

According to Hamilton County dispatchers, it happened at 8:15 p.m. close to the New Hooven Bridge. Officials closed the road closed in both directions between Cooper Road and State Route 128 as they investigated. Advertisement

The road has since reopened.
