GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The suspect from a sexual assault on UF campus is out of jail while he waits for his case to move forward.
Court records show Andrew Shaffer, 19, posted his $25,000 bond Monday.
The victim told UF police she woke up in Shaffer’s on-campus dorm. She said he encouraged her to drink heavily.
Shaffer sent a message to the victim acknowledging that she did not consent when he asked for sex.
The arrest report says he paid for her to get Plan B emergency contraception.
Shaffer is still trespassing on U-F until 2028.
