HARFORD, Pa. — When you see something on fire, you expect to see a fire truck rushing to the scene. But what happens when it's the fire truck itself that catches on fire?
Unfortunately, on Monday night, the firefighters at Harford Volunteer Fire Company in Susquehanna County learned the answer to that question the hard way.
"Something went down behind the officer's seat where the main electrical comes into the truck and shorted out the electrical system, and almost instantly, with that many batteries and everything going to it, we had sparks and flame almost immediately,” said Chief Chad Batzel of the Harford Volunteer Fire Company.
