Shillong, Oct 14: The North-Eastern Hill University Teachers’ Association (NEHUTA) has demanded an immediate Executive Council (EC) meeting but which will not be led by under-fire Vice-Chancellor PS Shukla.
NEHUTA held a protest at the university’s Shillong campus today over the varsity administration’s “non-fulfillment” of long-pending issues.
Included among these are accusations that Shukla has continually interfered in the day-to-day affairs of NEHU, violating an agreement reached between NEHUTA, NEHUSU (the students’ union) and the EC members with the Union Ministry of Education team in May.
