DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A St. Louis County Commissioner is calling out her colleagues over what she calls a lack of transparency tied to a proposed data center project in Hermantown.
Commissioner Ashley Grimm, who represents the western portion of Duluth on the County Board, issued a statement Tuesday condemning three fellow commissioners for signing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) related to the project.
“It is wholly inappropriate for elected officials to engage in county business while promising not to tell their constituents,” Grimm said in her statement.
Grimm also introduced a resolution that would ban commissioners from signing NDAs regarding county business — but the measure failed to move forward during a tense county board meeting Tuesday morning.
