SAN JOSE – A man wanted in connection with an injury shooting last month in San Jose is in custody, police said.

The incident happened around 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 2 in the 400 block of Minnesota Avenue, near Willow Street, San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih said in a news release Tuesday.
Officers arrived at the scene to find evidence of a shooting but no victims, Shih said.
While investigating the incident, officers located a pair of victims – a man and a woman – and their car, which was “riddled with bullet holes,” Shih said. The man had been shot at least once and was taken to an area hospital. The woman was not injured.
Shih said the shooting happened during an altercation between the victims and the suspect.
Detectives identified the suspect as Michael Alva
