D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) - National Night Out is a nationwide initiative, and the D’Iberville Police Department has been participating for years.

D’Iberville’s police and fire departments joined together with several other community organizations in order to educate children and build relationships.

“This is where I live, and I want to make sure my community is safe,” says Staff Sergeant Katherine Russell, Army National Guard. “I have three kids, and I want to make sure that me being a part of the community shows that I’m here for them. I’m here for the community. I’m here to be whatever they need me to be here in this moment.”
