CHARLOTTESVILLE — Key reinforcements are on the way for Virginia’s offensive line as the Hoos come out of their first bye week of the season.
On Tuesday, fourth-year Cavaliers coach Tony Elliott said standout left tackle McKale Boley and veteran center Brady Wilson have returned to practice.
“That’s going to be important for us in this race for the [ACC] title,” said interior offensive lineman Drake Metcalf, who filled in at center for Wilson in each of the last three games after starting the first three contests of the Cavaliers’ campaign at right guard.
Wilson suffered a calf injury in UVa’s win over Stanford on Sept. 20 and hasn’t played since. But on Tuesday, Elliott said he’s “optimistic that [Wilson] will be available here soon.”
