Moundsville City Council recently approved bids for equipment needed for the new municipal building, police and fire departments.
City Manager Rick Healy said audio-visual equipment will be installed by TSG at a cost of $65,707. This bid was approved in a 6-1 decision with Councilman Don DeWitt voting against it.
Council unanimously approved spending $15,255 with Bearcom for new police cruiser lighting.
And in a 6-1 decision, council approved spending $53,756 with ESI Equipment for new fire rescue equipment. Councilman Eugene Saunders voted against it.
Work on the new municipal and safety building continues and is anticipated to be mostly complete by January.
