Thousands of employees working under the National Health Mission (NHM) across Jammu and Kashmir are facing acute financial distress as their salaries have not been disbursed for the past three months, with the fourth month now in progress.

According to the All JK NHM Employees Association, around 12,000 employees, including doctors, paramedics, and support staff, have been hit hard by the delay. The prolonged non-payment has left many unable to manage daily expenses, pay EMIs, or meet crucial family needs such as children’s education and healthcare.
