Ahead of the state Assembly elections, Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Dilip Jaiswal praised folk and devotional singer Maithili Thakur after she joined the party in Patna, asserting that she is bringing glory to Bihar’s rich cultural heritage and Mithila across the entire world.

The state party chief emphasised that supporting young talent like Thakur not only highlights the state’s cultural identity but also inspires future generations to achieve excellence in their respective fields.

While speaking to ANI, Jaiswal said, “Maithili Thakur is the daughter of Bihar and Mithila, who is bringing glory to Bihar and Mithila across the entire world. So, it is our responsibility as people of Bihar to encourage her as much as we can and help her move forward.”
