LAPEER – The Clarkston Wolves stayed patient and scored a handful of late goals to dispatch the Grand Blanc Bobcats 4-1 in Tuesday evening’s D1 district semifinal contest.

“It took a bit of time, longer than we wanted it to. But it’s a hard game. It’s obviously playoffs, right, so everyone is up for it,” Clarkston head coach Ian Jones said. “Grand Blanc, fair play to them, they stuck around,” he added. “They hung in long enough to give themselves a chance.”

The first half was a fairly even affair, with the fifth-ranked Wolves getting a bit better of the stat sheet. Clarkston also had a bit more possession, but the game went into halftime scoreless.
