CLEVELAND, Ohio – Federal authorities on Tuesday arrested a 33-year-old man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Akron last month.

Timothy Whitthorne, also known as Timothy Lanier, was wanted by Akron police on charges of murder, felonious assault and having weapons while under disability. Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Whitthorne at a home in the 12300 block of Valley Lane in Garfield Heights.

The arrest stems from the Sept. 25 shooting of Razeil Robinson, 27, in the 1000 block of Rosemary Boulevard. Akron officers responded to a report of unknown trouble and discovered the victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
