The City of Roswell’s Legal Committee recommended and the city council approved the release of a request for proposals (RFP) from commercial air carriers interested in providing a passenger route between Roswell Air Center and Denver International Airport, during short, back-to-back special meetings on Monday.

This past Thursday, the council was asked to approve the RFP. However, there was apprehension about sending out the RFP without a committee-level review, because it was the first time this document was part of a public meeting agenda.

The councilors sent it to the Legal Committee, which usually meets near the end of each month. But this special meeting was organized quickly because city officials have stressed that time is of the essence.
