Just over two months ago, then-15-year-old Byron Waller set out to make history – on a mission to become the youngest supported pilot to fly around the world.
About 240 hours of flying time, 45,000 kilometres, almost 40 stops stops and 19 countries later, he's done so.
The Queensland teenager landed triumphantly back in Brisbane on Wednesday, much to the elation of his family and beloved dog who were waiting on the tarmac.
Now 16, Byron said it was "awesome" to be back home after such a long time away.
He hoped his journey would inspire others to achieve their dreams, too.
"I've made aviation history, and I've been able to show people that they can do what they want to do as well,"
he said.
