The Lumberyard affordable housing project, Armory Hall redevelopment and the Castle Creek water treatment facility improvement project will dominate the city of Aspen’s capital budget for the next several years.
The three projects make up a bulk of the city’s 2026 capital budget (and about 80% of the proposed $171.2 million capital budget), and will make up about 73% of the city’s five-year capital plan, Aspen Budget Manager Matt Grau told the Aspen City Council during the second of four budget work sessions on Monday.
