The Centre on Wednesday told the Supreme Court that it had no objection to Ladakhi climate activist Sonam Wangchuk sharing his notes on his detention with the lawyer of his wife, Gitanjali Angmo, who has approached the top court challenging his detention.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Centre, conveyed this to a bench of Justices Aravind Kumar and N V Anjaria, which then adjourned the hearing till October 29, giving time to Angmo to make some changes to her petition.
Wangchuk, who is lodged in Jodhpur Central Jail, was detained under the National Security Act on September 26, two days after four protesters were killed in police firing at Leh.
