Senior cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were part of the first group of Indian players to fly out to Australia on Wednesday for the three-match ODI series, starting October 19. They were accompanied by Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, and pacers Arshdeep Singh and Prasidh Krishna. A few support staff members also joined the group.
The players arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport in the morning, greeted by fans waiting to catch a glimpse of them. Head coach Gautam Gambhir and other members of the coaching staff are scheduled to leave later in the evening.
