A dog started a house fire by chewing on a lithium-ion battery in a Chapel Hill, N.C., home.
The Chapel Hill Fire Department (CHFD) shared footage obtained from the homeowner's security system on social media. The video shows the dog, Colton, chewing on the lithium-ion battery on the carpet, before he backs away from the item as he sees it start to go up in smoke.
"Colton is a good boy, but he counter-surfed while his humans (a CHFD family) were away and got hold of a device with a lithium ion battery," the CHFD wrote alongsid
