Fast food drive-thrus are typically convenient, often open late, and, most importantly, pretty fast. Places compete to be faster and better than their competitors, but only one can reign supreme as the “fastest” drive-thru.

In the 2025 “Drive Thru Report” from Intouch Insights and QSR Magazine, 13 different fast-food chains were tested on various aspects of the customer drive-thru experience.

The fastest drive-thru chain?

Taco Bell.

The Mexican-inspired fast-food chain has ranked highest for the fastest drive-thru, by total time, for the past five years. It takes, on average, about four minutes and 28 seconds to get customers through its drive-thru.
