The political stage in Bihar has just gotten more exciting. With the assembly elections around the corner, the Jan Suraaj Party made a surprise announcement on Tuesday: 37-year-old Chanchal Singh will be their candidate from the Raghopur constituency. For weeks, political circles speculated whether party chief Prashant Kishor himself would contest from Raghopur. But in a strategic twist, PK decided to field a new face instead.

On October 14, Jan Suraaj Party national president Uday Singh handed over the party symbol to Chanchal Singh, officially confirming him as the candidate to take on Raghopur’s big name, Tejashwi Yadav.
